The general point of the office is to show understudies a more profound comprehension of government and legislative issues both in the United States and abroad. Preparing in the division may serve as readiness for master's level college or graduate school, government employments at both the elected and state levels, opportunities in business and educating, or simply being an educated resident.
Political Science graduates will illustrate:
top to bottom learning of government and legislative issues in the U.S. furthermore, the world;
an adjusted arrangement in four subfields of political science: American legislative issues, similar government, global relations, and political hypothesis;
the limit for achievement in graduate school, graduate school, and vocations in government.
Major
(B.A. degree) Thirty-three hours required. Thirty hours in Political Science, including: (1) POS 100: American Government; (2) POS 240: Political Thought; (3) POS 300: World Politics; (4) POS 307: Comparative Politics; (5) POS 425: Political Science Research Methods; and (6) POS 450: Senior Seminar. Also, understudies must finish three semester hours in unified courses affirmed by the Department. The staying twelve semester hours must be at the 300-or 400-level. Just six semester hours credit in the real will be given for courses taken off grounds in the understudy program.
